RED SHOES: Unveiled. A performative sensory tour around the exhibition | November 6, 2024, 6 pm

The event will be a unique meeting of long-time friends: scientist Piotr Wesolowski, with artist, Grzegorz Pieniak. We invite you to co-participate in bringing private conversations and discussions into the gallery space around the exhibition “RED SHOES”.

Piotr Wesołowski - a doctoral student at the GSSR PAN and a graduate of the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, deals with the philosophical dimensions of the Baroque and Rococo, the relationship between painting and philosophy, and figurative philosophy from Nietzsche to Deleuze.

Grzegorz Pieniak - studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He was a co-founder of the Otwarta Pracownia Eksperymentu (Open Experimental Studio) and the Kaplica Gallery, alongside such artists as Piotr Wesołowski, Agata Słowak and Szaweł Płóciennik. He has presented his works in solo exhibitions, including Czułość (Borowik Foundation), 2023, Takotsubo (Dzielna Foundation), 2023, and group exhibitions: Refugees Welcome, MSN, 2023, Czułość Wyuzdania, lokal_30, 2023.

The event takes place as part of the “Spotkania” series organized by Warsaw Gallery Weekend.
