BLOOD CONCRETE SUN

Maciej Nowacki

Miłosz Tomkowicz

Exhibition: June 16 – August 8, 2026

Opening: June 13, 2026

18:00–21:00

Blood Concrete Sun explores what remains. Myths, monuments, artefacts and collective desires continue to shape contemporary experience long after the historical conditions that produced them have disappeared. In the works of Maciej Nowacki and Miłosz Tomkowicz, bodies, artefacts, rituals and monuments become different ways of confronting this legacy.

Nowacki places queer bodies within landscapes marked by collective histories, opening established symbols to new forms of solidarity and belonging. Tomkowicz turns towards monuments, relics and mythic figures, revealing the fragility hidden beneath structures commonly associated with permanence, authority and strength. Together, the artists examine how images outlive their original contexts, asking which forms of community are worth carrying forward and which must be reimagined.
