opening of Jan Możdzyński's "Love Revolver" exhibition | May 10, 2024 at 7pm

May 10, 2024, 7 p.m.

We invite you to the opening of Jan Możdżyński's solo exhibition, in which the artist will present his latest works. The event will take place at the HOS Gallery's venue at 5 Dzielna Street on Friday, May 10, at 7:00 pm.

An eclectic-camp combination of spaghetti western and queerstorical fantasy about the Wild West. The action takes place on the virgin prairies and in the backrooms of saloons. The protagonists are a group of outcasts, freaks craving a life away from the repressive chains of routine and imposed order.

On the dance floors figures swirl in disguises bordering on drag and burlesque. Jewelry, cowgirls and harnesses shine. The flirtatious twinkle of cabaret eyes and bearded eyelids, half-closed under the weight of batted eyelashes. The saloon appears as a subversive paradise, where we reject existing roles, challenge gender norms and undergo transformation. The arena becomes a place of fierce vogue battles and at the same time a place of community creation.

The Wild West, or rather its alternative version, becomes a place to plunge into unfettered layers of imagination, to challenge the status quo.
