KAROLINA WYSOCKA

Visual artist working in fine art printmaking, ceramics, textiles, installation and photography. She explores issues of gender, social norms, sexuality, criticism of patriarchy and capitalism, which she discusses through evocative abstract forms or references to the natural world. Her works often refer to contemporary literary works, poetry and philosophical essays.

 

She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague (Netherlands). She has taught painting and drawing at the University of Arts in Poznań and the Technical University of Koszalin. Her works have been shown at many individual and collective exhibitions, including the KABK Gallery in The Hague, Sculpture Center in New York, CCA Łaźnia in Gdańsk, Arsenal Gallery and Stary Browar in Poznań, Cascada Art Space in Barcelona and Studio Tsukimisou in Kyoto. Shee currently lives and works in Barcelona.
