On Friday, July 8, 2022 from 6:00 p.m., as part of the closing of the "Giant" exhibition, we invite you to a meeting with Jakub Słomkowski.
Music by "I am sorry Dave", a solo project by Słomkowski, will flow from the oldschool cassettes.
The name of the project is a quote from the film "2001: A Space Odyssey". HAL 9000, a fictional artificial intelligence character (a computer that controls the systems of the Discovery One spacecraft) which confronts a human with the words "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that" and refuses to obey the orders received.
"I am sorry Dave" was formed in 2018 on the day of the death of Douglas Rain, the actor who voiced HALL 9000.
On Friday Słomkowski will present fot the very first time his "Mr. GaGa" track.

As part of the ‘Giant’ exhibition, the artist sets out on a new artistic path understood as the beginning of building a vast archive of symbols and objects that comment on reality, but which utilize everything connected with the ‘new cosmic domain’ and cosmic archaeology. The archive is understood as a collection of impressions revolving around the history of the human fantasies of conquering space, but also as a collection of personal artefacts.
